Key technical guidelines for the installation and use of mechanical seals: The radial runout of the equipment’s rotating shaft should be ≤0.04 mm, and the axial movement should not exceed 0.1 mm. During installation, the sealing areas of the equipment must be kept clean; sealing components should be thoroughly cleaned, and the sealing end faces must be intact and free from damage to prevent impurities and dust from entering the sealing areas.

During installation, the sealing areas of the equipment must be kept clean; sealing components should be thoroughly cleaned, and the sealing end faces must be intact and free from damage to prevent impurities and dust from entering the sealing areas.
During installation, it is strictly prohibited to bump or strike the components, as this could damage the friction surfaces of the mechanical seal and lead to sealing failure. Before installation, apply a thin layer of clean machine oil to all surfaces that will come into contact with the seal, ensuring smooth installation. When installing the stationary ring retaining cover, make sure that the tightening screws exert even pressure to guarantee that the end face of the stationary ring remains perpendicular to the axis. After installation, manually push the rotating ring—it should move freely along the shaft and exhibit some elasticity. Once installed, when you manually turn the shaft, there should be no sensation of unevenness or heaviness. Before starting operation, the equipment must be completely filled with the working medium to prevent dry friction, which could cause the seal to fail. During installation, apply a thin layer of clean machine oil to all surfaces that will come into contact with the seal. Pay special attention to selecting the appropriate type of machine oil based on the material of the auxiliary seals, avoiding situations where the O-rings swell due to oil absorption or experience accelerated aging, thus preventing premature seal failure.
